I always hear them say there is no bread without relief

but my country is in a corner without my knowing how many days

I just ask when we find a solution

Is there charity or bad actions

Oh Jesus of Nazareth is the only one you can say a word to my country Haiti

Let us hear the voice of the children who will be called to relief

Haiti rise up and walk

They are the future of our country let us reach out to them

 When I was little I used to bathe in the big rains

I used to play hide mayel and lago with my friends under the glorious moon

 

but now there is violence and starvation the children are undergoing

 

If we reach out to them they will find pieces of life

one day they will stop suffering

Then it will be joy to their lives

 

Haiti What Now?

Hopefully Justeland will be able to get his second song recorded and sent soon.  The country is in a bit of upheaval since the return of former dictator Baby Doc Duvalier yesterday.  Let's hope that this man's intentions are good and that the country can settle and finish their elections for President.  It is possible that they will have a female President or maybe even a well loved music celebrity as their President.  Whatever the outcome, here's hoping that the tension settles and that we can get new music from Justeland soon!.

One Year Since the Earthquake

Talked to Justeland in Haiti last night.  He lives in an area just outside of Port au Prince called Croix de Bouquets.  He is very excited that his song is posted for people to hear, and I hope you will encourage others to download his song.  The proceeds will go to Justeland in Haiti and will help him to rebuild the home that he lost one year ago.  Good news to share is that Justeland almost has another song ready to send us.  This one will be a children's song.  I am hoping also to post the lyrics in English for his current song on the site soon.  Tell your friends about Justeland and please support this young man trying to make his way in a country that has been ravaged.  It has been nine months since I visited Justeland in Haiti and just when it looked like they might make some progress the cholera outbreak has been a set-back for them.  We'll keep you posted on events.
