(more)Formed in San Juan PR in 1991 under the name of Signs of Deception,Saint Vulturesoul was created to play old school death metal influenced by the old days black and thrash metal acts like VENOM,MOTORHEAD,CELTIC FROST,SODOM etc. The band started out as a 5 piece with Marcos on vocals,Carlos bass,Chris on drums,Arlene on Guitar and Luiz Ortvaz on vocals and guitar.Late in 1992 Marcos and Chris left the band so Luiz Ortvaz jumped on the full time position as drummer and vocalist.This lineup was Signs of Deception until 1994 when they split after a Brutal show with Morbid Angel and a farewell party at the Thrash Corner house in P.R...After a long time Ortvaz decided to reform the band in NEW BRITAIN CT where he is part of NYDM.This time the band decided to change the name to SAINT VULTURESOUL Due to the gruesome nature of the band's lyrics and sound...the band is now Carlos on Bass,Arlene on Guitar ,Luiz on Vocals and Guitar and a session drummer Robert (formerly of Dismal Divinity). The album" From Innocence To A Darkened Fear "is being recorded at Berzinvaz Studios in New Britain Connecticut Produced by Ortvaz and Co Produced by Laila Berzins.Also the front cover of the album was created by former Nuclear Death Guitarrist and composer Phil "feral viscera"Hampson.The Vulture feel very honored to have Mr.Hampson's artwork as part of our first production.
